Generally speaking, a promotion means higher salary and more responsibility.
Generally speaking, all living things are sure to die without food.
Generally speaking there was no resistance to the idea
Generally speaking, we enjoyed the trip.
Strictly speaking, the book is not a novel, but a short story.
Strictly speaking, this was against the rules.
Strictly speaking, you ought to sign the visitors’ book first.
Judging from everything you've said, it was just as well she wasn't there.
Judging from the way he laughed as he told it, it was meant to be humorous
Judging from the look of the sky, we'll have a rain this evening.
Judging from his tone, there's no doubt he is against it.
She's very active, considering her age.
Considering his abilities, he should have done better.
Taking everything into consideration, they ought to be given another chance.
Having so little time, there was not much that I could do.
Being French, it's surprising that she's such a terrible cook.
Supposing you fell in love with your boss, what would you do?
Given their inexperience, they've done a good job.
In doing such work, patience is needed.
Using the electric energy, it is necessary to change its form.
When one does such work, patience is needed. When we use the electric energy, it is necessary to change its form.
