charge:泛指生活方方面面的花费;

fee: 指支付的服务费、手续费等附加费用(是指比较专业的服务费);学费、邮费、医疗费、律师费、家教费、咨询费、会费等

fare: 指用于乘坐交通工具所需的费用;

toll: 特指通过道路、桥梁、运河、隧道时需支付的费用。

cost:指为购买商品、完成某事或生产产品而支付的款项。
