wish是重要考点，既可以用作动词，也可以用作名词，用作动词时宾语从句中需要用虚拟语气。
1.wish vi/vt希望，想要

1）wish to do sth希望做某事
I wish to speak to the manager.

5) wish + (that) + would + 不带 to 不定式

6.wish与hope的区别
1).hope接宾语从句时表示有可能实现的愿望，而wish表示难以实现的愿望，而且宾语从句要有虚拟语气，hope不用虚拟语气。
比较：
He hoped that he could make progress in the final exam. 他希望他能在期末考试中取得进步。（有可能实现的）
I wish I were younger than you. 我要是比你年轻就好了。（难以实现的）
2).hope后跟不定式，只有hope to do；而wish后跟不定式，可以有wish to do sth；wish sb to do sth。wish能接复合宾语，hope则不能。
I hope to visit my friend at weekend. 我希望周末去拜访我的朋友。
I wish my friend to visit me at weekend. 我希望我的朋友周末来看我。
3)wish表祝愿，wish sb sth，hope没有这种用法。
I wish you every success. 祝你成功。
4)都可以和过去完成时连用，表示本来想做而没做成：
I had hoped to come here , but I couldn’t.
我本来希望来这里，但没能来。
He had wished to finish it on time, but he didn’t.
他本希望按时完成这件事，但没有做到。
5）都可以用于It is/ was to be …that 句型：
It is to be hoped that she will get full marks in English.
希望她在英语考试中得到满分。
It is to be wished that the problem will soon be solved.
希望这个问题很快得到解决。
