worthy有两种用法，一是用作形容词，表示“有价值的；可尊敬的；值得的”的意思，二是用作名词，表示“知名人士；杰出人物”的意思，是可数名词，复数形式是worthies。固定搭配有：
worthy of（值得……的），
worthy man（值得尊敬的人），
be worthy to do sth（值得做某事），
be worthy of sth（应该得到某事物）。
worthy作定语使用时表示“值得（尊重、考虑）的”，翻译时也比较灵活，如：值得的，有价值的，崇高的，伟大的，突出的...等等都可能。
