1. 表示“记忆(力)”,若指具体某人的记忆(力),通常为可数名词,若指抽象意义的记忆(力),通常为不可数名词。“回忆”一般都是可数名词;如:
I have a very good visual memory.
我过目不忘。
She has a very short memory.
她的记性很差,时间一长就忘。
The photos bring back lots of good memories.
这些照片唤起了许多美好的回忆。
People have short memories.
人是健忘的。
He had a long memory for people who had disappointed him.

This hasn't happened in living memory.

2. 注意正确理解以下各句:
His name escaped my memory. 他的名字我记不起了。
Bit by bit memories of the night came back to me.

If my memory serves me right/well/correctly, he is 55 years old this year.

3. 用于 in memory of, 意为“为了纪念,作为对某人的纪念”(注意不用冠词)。如:
