主语从句(Subject Clause)
主语从句 定义:在句子中担当主语的是一个从句,这个从句就叫做主语从句.
That the plates are moving is not beyond dispute.地球板地是在漂移的，这一点毫无争议。
主语从句是在复合句中充当主语的从句,通常放在主句谓语动词之前或由形式主语it代替,而本身放在句子末尾.
It is not beyond dispute that the plates are moving.

1. 用it 作形式主语的结构
(1) It is ＋名词＋从句
It is a fact that … 事实是…
It is an honor that …非常荣幸
It is common knowledge that …是常识
It is a pity that...可惜的是……
It is good news that..……真是太好了。
It is no wonder that...难怪…...
It is a good thing that..……真是件好事。
It is a shame that.
遗憾的是……
…真是太不像话了
(2) it is ＋形容词＋从句
It is clear that...显然….
It is likely that...很可能…
It is certain that..可以相信…
It is fortunate that...幸运的是……
It is natural that… 很自然…
It is strange that… 奇怪的是…
It is possible that...很可能…
It is natural that...很自然…
It is strange that...奇怪的是…
It is necessary that...有必要…
(3) it ＋不及物动词＋从句
It seems that… 似乎…
It happened that… 碰巧…
It comes about that...结果是…
It follows that...因此…/由此可见…
It turns out that...结果证明是…
(4) it is＋过去分词＋从句
It is reported that… 据报道…
It is believed that...据信…
It should be noted that...应当注意…
It must be pointed out that...必须指出……
It is generally thought that...人们普遍认为…
It has been proved that… 已证实…
It has been found that...现已发现…
同样可以这么用的动词还有:say, expect, know, estimate, forecast等。
(5)其他结构：
It dawns upon/on sb. that..某人突然想起…
It occurs to sb. that...某人突然想起……
It doesn't need to be bothered that...不必担忧…
It makes no difference that...…无所谓
It is of little consequence that.……无关紧要
Does it matter if he can’t finish the on time.
如果他不能按时完成这项工作，关系重大吗？
It would not matter if these misjudgments were just a matter of people's opinions ．

2. It 作形式主语和it引导强调句的比较
It 作形式主语代替主语从句,主要是为了平衡句子结构,主语从句的连接词没有变化.而it引导的强调句则是对句子某一部分进行强调,无论强调的是什么成分,都可用连词that.被强调部分指人是也可用who/whom.例如：
It is a fact that English is being accepted as an international language.
英语正被接受为国际语言，已成为一个事实。（主语从句）
It is not only your enthusiasm but also your teamwork and good spirits that impress us.
不仅是你们的热情，而且是你们的团队合作和良好的精神给我们留下了深刻的印象。（强调句）
It is Mary and Tom who often do good deeds.
经常做好事的是玛丽和汤姆。（强调句，be动词无单复数）
强调句除掉It is……that,句子结构仍然完整。而主语从句则不可以。
