英语中根据表示意义的不同，有些名词既是可数名词，又是不可数名词。
1. room
1).房间 （可数）
There are three rooms in this apartment. 这个公寓里有三间房间。
2). 空间 （不可数）
There is no more room in the computer file. 计算机文件里没有空间了。
2. time
1). 次数，倍（可数）
I've been to New York three times. 我去过纽约三次。
2). 时间（不可数)
I need some time to think about it. 我需要一些时间来考虑。
3. exercise
1). n. 锻炼 （不可数名词）
get/do/take exercise 锻炼
There are many ways to do exercise in daily life. 在日常生活中，有很多锻炼的方法。
2). n. 习题，练习 （可数名词）
I finished the grammar exercises. 我完成了语法练习。
3). n. 一套动作，通常指的是一系列的体育活动或健身动作（可数名词）
do morning exercises 做早操
We always do eye exercises between classes. 我们总是在课间做眼保健操。
4. fish
1). 作“鱼肉”讲，不可数名词
Fish is delicious and I like it very much.
2). 作“鱼”讲，可数名词
Let's buy some fish. 咱们买些鱼吧。
指“鱼”时，单复数相同，指不同种类的鱼时，复数用fishes.
two fish 两条鱼
two fishes 两种鱼
5. experience
1). n. 经历 (可数名词）
This book is full of interesting experiences .这本书充满了有趣的经历。
She shared her travel experiences with us. 她和我们分享了她的旅行经历。
2). n. 经验（不可数名词）
Experience is the best teacher. 经验是最好的老师。
She has a lot of experience in teaching English. 她在教英语方面有很多经验。
其他：
glass : 玻璃杯 （可数), 玻璃（ 不可数）
There are two glasses on the table.桌子上有两个玻璃杯。
The window is made of glass. 窗户是由玻璃制成的。
orange: 橙子 （可数）， 橙汁 （不可数）
I bought an orange. 我买了一个橙子。
I'd like a glass of orange. 我想要一杯橙汁。
chicken : 小鸡 （可数）， 鸡肉 （不可数）
The farmer has many chickens. 农夫有很多小鸡。
I eat chicken for dinner.我晚餐吃鸡肉。
food : 强调食物的种类 （可数），食物总称 （不可数）
paper: 试卷 （可数），纸（ 不可数）
I have three papers to grade.我有三份试卷要批改。
Please pass me some paper.请递给我一些纸。
light : 电灯（可数），光（ 不可数）
There are four lights in the room.房间里有四盏灯。
Light is necessary for plants.光对植物是必需的。
